Xel-Há has been granted the "Must See Waterpark" award by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions.
In 2005, two parks in United States received this award and outside the United States, only one, Xel-Há, a proudly Mexican park.
This award is synonymous of quality, safety and the certainty of a unique experience in contact with nature.
In addition, by visiting the park, you contribute to support programs of protection to several species and help community development through the foundation Flora, Fauna y Cultura de México, A.C.

Must See Waterpark
At the end of 2005, Xel-Há was granted the "Must See Waterpark" award by the IAAPA. The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, IAAPA, granted Xel-Há this award during its yearly EXPO, held in Atlanta, Georgia, in the "Amusement Parks outside United States" category.
During the first edition of the "Must See Waterpark" awards in 2005, Ana Elisa Benavent, vice-president of memberships and marketing services explained why the IAAPA decided to create this award: "The goal is to select the world's amusement parks that stand out of the rest by providing their visitors a unique and memorable experience, based on an excellent guest service as well as the highest standards of operation, facilities and safety".
The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) was founded in 1918. It is a non-profit organization that represents more than 4500 businesses or facilities devoted to entertainment (theme or water parks, family entertainment centers, zoos, aquariums and museums) as well as their providers and collaborators in more than 85 countries. It strongly promotes the adoption by its members of an ethic code including "safety in operations; global development, professional growth and commercial success in the entertainment industry".
