Xel-Há preserves the ceremony of the honey bee for present and future generations. - The typical smell of copal at the entrance of the greenhouse at Xel-Ha meant that an encounter full of mysticism, symbology and reunion with the Mayan roots of this land, was about to happen. A line of bougainvilleas on the fine sand of a winding lane showed the way to a faithful reproduction of a pre-modern Mayan dwelling. See more

Xel-Ha receives an honorable mention for its contribution to nature conservancy - Ejido La Flor, municipality of Mapimí, Durango, November 29th, 2006. As part of the Nature Conservancy Day, and to close the VIth Conservancy week, the Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT) and the President of National Commission on Protected Natural Areas (CONANP) carried out the sixth edition of the Nature Conservancy Awards. First release of Queen Conch at Xel-Ha park - In order to learn more about the growth of the queen conch, a "seed" cultivation experiment has been carried out, in which various diets for growing and fattening were tested. This research contributes to the handling and conservation of Queen Conch (Strombus Gigas) in the Caribbean. See more

Awards - Xel-Ha Park receives ESR 2003 Award, Mexico’s Philanthropy Center awarded Xel-Ha Park the ESR 2003 Award in recognition of its achievements as a socially responsible company. See more

History - The Maya christened the area Xel-Ha. Xel for source or spring, and ha for water, so the name roughly translates 'where the water is born' or 'source of the water'. See more

Mayan Legend - After "bulkabal", the last deluge, the world was in chaos, from which darkness was born and the universe returned to its origin. NOTHING MOVED, NOTHING HAD EXISTENCE. There were only the sea and the sky inhabited by darkness and silence. See more

Xel-Ha Award - Xel-Há has been granted the "Must See Waterpark" award by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions. See more
