What About Planning my day? - On arrival, familiarize yourself with the park’s layout. Get your locker and towel, put away your valuables, and start your adventure in the park, unencumbered and ready to relax. Take your most comfortable shoes and hike the "Path of Conscience".
- Discover the Park’s flora and fauna as you walk towards the river. There you can toss your shoes and other objects into a transport bag and take the plunge and a delightful, relaxing drift down the river. At the end of your 1,300 meter drift, your things will be waiting for you.
- You can then have a massage, drape yourself in luxury on Hammock Island or lunch in any of our specialty restaurants.
What to Wear? - Your day in the sun calls for a simple wardrobe comfortable bathing suit, sandals or huaraches, sunglasses, shorts and a T-Shirt. We recommend comfortable, casual clothing.

If you need anything else, our shops have a full line of accessories, and just the right thing to make your day even more enjoyable.
What to Take?
- Biodegradable tanning product, natural insect repellent. Both available in our stores.
What’s the Weather?
- It’s tropical. Dry season is December through April with an average temperature of 23 to 24 C. Rainy season runs May through November with an average temperature of 35 C.
But I don’t swim!
- No experience? Never snorkeled? Join us at the Aquatic Institute. We can provide you with a guide and trainer. There are also activities that don’t require any swimming skills, like SEATREK.
Can I Swim with Dolphins?
- Please do it!. Make your reservations well in advance in our reservations section .
What Happens if I Get Lost?
- Not to worry. Our guides are located strategically throughout the Park, and they can put your right back on track.
What about Access to Cash?
- Xel-Ha; has an automatic teller that takes virtually all international credit cards. We accept dollars and pesos, and all major credit cards.
What about Deposits?
- A small deposit is necessary for use of lockers, towels, and snorkelling equipment. It is necessary to leave a deposit for 20 usd, 20 euros or 200pesos that will return when you leave the equipment.
Wjat about Xel-Ha Park Security?

- Your life jacket is free – please use it for your own security, comfort and tranquility.
- You may also have complete confidence in the security of your locker.
- We have security personnel throughout the park and a First Aid station and ambulance for medical emergencies.
